Introducing the Faculty & Staff Meal Plan:
Choose from three savings plans exclusively for eligible York U faculty and staff.
Redeemable at 16 participating Food Services locations (see list below) across the Keele and Glendon campuses, you will receive bonus dollar savings of up to 20% based on your plan of choice. The bigger the Plan, the bigger the savings!
Faculty and Staff Meal Plan funds do not expire and you can easily go online or use our mobile app to add money to your account.
There are two ways to purchase a Faculty and Staff Meal Plan:
Online: Log into your YU-card account and add $100, $250 or $500 to the “Faculty and Staff Dining” account on your YU-card. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. The bonus dollars will be added to the “Faculty and Staff Dining Bonus” account within 2 business days.
In Person: Visit the YU-card Office in room 200 William Small Centre. Visa, MasterCard, Interac, Cash and Cheque are accepted.
The Faculty and Staff Meal Plan is accepted at York University Food Services locations operated by Aramark on both the Keele and Glendon campuses. A complete list of participating locations appears below.
Please note that the Faculty and Staff Meal Plan is not accepted at locations in York Lanes, Student Centre or the Schulich School of Business.
You can purchase another Meal Plan at any time. When you purchase a new Meal Plan, you will also receive a new allocation of bonus dollars.
If you run out of Meal Plan and bonus dollars and do not purchase another Meal Plan, you must have funds in your Flex account to continue purchasing food with your YU-card.
Yes, you can also add Flex Dollars to your YU-card, in addition to your Faculty and Staff Meal Plan. Flex dollars can continue to be used at any food outlet on campus and other retail outlets like the York University Bookstore.
Due to the provision of the bonus dollars, Faculty and Staff Meal Plan funds cannot be transferred to the Flex account.
The Faculty and Staff Meal Plan is fully refundable. Bonus dollars are not refundable. Any bonus dollars allocated to your Plan (whether spent or not) will be deducted from the remaining balance prior to any refund being made. Examples:
1. $250 Plan purchased with $25 bonus dollars. $10 bonus dollars were spent, while no Plan dollars were spent. The refund available would be the remaining $250 Plan dollars, less the $10 bonus dollars that were spent, for a refund of $240.
2. $250 Plan purchased with $25 bonus dollars. $25 bonus dollars were spent, and $100 Plan dollars were spent. The refund available would be the remaining $150 Plan dollars, less the $25 bonus dollars that were spent, for a refund of $125.
